Why we started Grandson
It started the way most important things do — with someone we love. A grandmother who needed help at home. Not a nurse. Not a stranger with a clipboard. Just someone familiar, reliable, and kind. Someone who'd remember how she takes her coffee, check that the porch light works, and sit with her long enough to actually listen.
We couldn't find that. The agencies were slow. The paperwork was endless. And Medicaid? Good luck navigating that alone. So we built what we wished existed — a network of vetted, compassionate companions who show up like family, whether it's a weekly check-in funded through Medicaid or a one-time furniture assembly you need help with on Saturday.
